Reassembling the driveshafts.

Tuesday 7th June 2016: Front lenses arrive from California with rubbers, brass inserts and bolts.

17th May 2016: restoration of a pair of Lobro driveshafts.  POR15 painted shafts, new boot and flanges (here test-fitted to one of the shafts), to be re-assembled and greased.

Monday 8th June 2015.  Here's the fuel sender unit after clean-up and assembly.  Replacing and re-soldering the internal resistance wire float runners and the warning light circuit makes cleaning the internals much easier.  Using a micrometer, I discovered the thickness of the resistance wires are 0.1mm for the float and 0.27mm for the warning light.

Monday 16th March 2015: Recaro 'R' replica seats arrive from deser.it in Turin, finished in black vinyl with black and white pepita cloth inserts.  These are amazing and incredibly comfortable!  They'll base-mount - the plan is to take these out when racing and replace with FIA race seat.

November 2014.  Tricky-to-find part: the little plastic rosettes that fit the end of the interior door handles.  I only have one and one of the four lugs has broken... keep searching Stuart!

September 2014.  The front quarter window catches: some parts were available new but the catches themselves needed to be cleaned-up and re-chromed.  I've still to machine one of the locking screws from the one I have (these are not available from Porsche).

The inner door handles have come back from Southbound trimmers.  I'm delighted with the finish, new coverings and tidying-up the 'horse-hair' padding.  I just need to find a pair of the plastic covers that fit the bottom and the little rosettes that fit the holes for the door triggers.
